Transportation for BRF 2019
The organizing team of the festival, in order to make your access to the island of Skyros as easy as possible, it will provide buses exclusively for the transfer of the participants to the BRF venue.
Axos Travel is Boom Reggae Festival’s partner in moving BRF’s guests door to door, from Athens or Thessaloniki to Cooknara Beach Bar in Skyros Island and back.

Where does Boom Reggae Festival take place?
Boom Reggae Festival will take place in Skyros Island (Kyra Panagia beach), at Cooknara Beach Bar (http://bit.ly/2sQbURr).
How can I purchase festival tickets?
There are three ways to do so: a) from the pre sale spots, as you see them in our web site, at the area TICKES, b) through web, either using our site or directly viva.gr and c) from Cooknara entrance during the festival.
How can I get there?
a) by airplane and then by taxi or rented car, b) by private car or public bus (KTEL) until the port of Kymi, then by boat to the port of Skyros (Linaria) and then by taxi, rented car or public bus to Cooknara and c) using the reggae buses who take you door to door from Athens and Thessaloniki to Cooknara (more info here).
Where can I stay?
In Skyros you can find quite a lot of small hotels and “rooms to let”. BRF provides free camping space at two different spots as you can see at the map in our web site.
Which are the facilities of the camping site?
All the basic needs are covered such as WC, showers, trash bins, cleaning personnel, little shop with the basics, First Aid Station.
What kind of equipment do I need as a camper?
Tent, sleeping bag, light mattress (air mattress or yoga mat), flashlight.
What happens in a case of an accident or an unexpected illness?
A First Aid Station run by a Red Cross team will be located in BRF 24/7. Additionally, there is a Heath Center operating at Skyros Town.
What about food?
Cooknara operates a fully equipped restaurant and will serve food and snacks in special prices for the BRF visitors. Also special prices for coffee and drinks at the bars.
I’m out of cigarettes, where is the nearest kiosk?
There is little shop in Cooknara where you can find all the basic stuff you need: tobacco products, personal care products, batteries, condoms etc).
How can I participate in a workshop?
Workshops are open to everyone. Just be there 10-15 minutes in advance and you’re in. In the field PROGRAM of our website, you can find the schedule of the workshops.
How can I offer something to Skyros Island?
BRF organises a raffle where everyone can win a Street Art Painting. The artists will be creating their work in public and when they finish the raffle will take place. The whole amount from the tickets will be offered to the Skyrian Horse Society. The small-bodied species of the Skyrian horse is one of the rarest horse breeds in the world. It is a protected species, since there are only 220 of them left. Help us protect them!
